My D&B PAYDEX score doesn't even exist yet. Equifax has nothing to show either. If you stopped there, this would look like a non-update. But here's why this is actually exactly where I expected to be, and why it matters.

The Setup

At the end of April, I had one active tradeline: Quill. Over the following weeks I added three more: Crown Office Supplies, Shirtsy, and NAMYNOT. All four are now open, all four have been purchased on, and all four have been paid early.

That's the work. Now it's about waiting for the bureaus to catch up.

What Actually Changed

On June 1st, I checked my scores on Nav and noticed something small but real: Experian now shows 1 active tradeline reporting. The score itself is still an F, sitting low on their 1-100 scale.

It doesn't look impressive. But it's proof the reporting pipeline is working. Before this, there was nothing. Now there's something, even if that something is graded poorly.

Why This Matters

An F with one tradeline reporting is a completely different situation than no score with zero tradelines. The grade looks the same on the surface, but underneath it, the system is now tracking my business. That's the shift that matters.

The Equifax Saga

Here's the part most "build your business credit" guides skip: my business address with Equifax is still wrong. It's showing an old address in Cowpens, even though I've updated everything with D&B and corrected it everywhere else I can.

I've called Equifax once already and was told someone would follow up. Nobody did. I'm calling again. This is the unglamorous reality of business credit building. The bureaus don't always talk to each other, and getting them to update basic information can take multiple attempts.

The Honest Part

This is the part of the process nobody puts in a highlight reel. A phone call that goes nowhere, a follow-up that never happens, and having to call again. It's not failure, it's just how bureaucracy works. Document it, stay on it, and keep moving the other pieces forward while you wait.

Why I'm Posting This Anyway

Most people only share their business credit journey once they've hit an 80 PAYDEX score and everything looks clean. I get why. Nobody wants to show an F.

But if you're in the middle of this process right now, looking at your own F or your own "no score yet," I want you to see what that actually looks like for someone else. It's not failure. It's the gap between doing the work and the bureaus catching up.

What I'm Watching For Next

Next Update

I'll post an update in the next 2-3 weeks regardless of whether anything's changed. That's the point. This is the real timeline, not the highlight reel.
